How To Write A Thank You Note
     By the Staff of ESQAdvantage

Writing a thank you note must be done shortly after the interview. Writing the letter may not clinch the job, but it shows that you are interested and courteous. A letter should be sent to each person with whom you spent significant time. If writing more than one, make each a bit different; and of course, save the best lines for the decision maker(s).

In the letter, emphasize something that was discussed and try to link this to why you are qualified and/or interested in the position. The letter should be a quick read. Here is an example of a thank you note that landed a job. It is simple, but effective:

“Thank you again for meeting to talk about this opportunity. I am very interested! You have put together a wonderful firm and I would like to be a part of it.”

If appropriate, you may send an email thank you note. But, make this determination based upon the recipient. If you are unsure, send a typed letter that you mail.

Finally, make sure that there are no typos and that all names are properly spelled. If you are unsure of the spelling, call the organization to check.
